Your humble host

Jake Miller, aka, a relaxed, fun-loving, 32 year old American surf guide and photographer who has made his home in Nicaragua. With 20 years of surfing experience in Florida, France, Mexico, California, Puerto Rico, Oahu, Maui, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua, it's easy to see I love the life. I've cooked for, served, photographed, taught surfing skills to, surfed with, and captained boats to secret surfing spots for a long list of guests and friends. You will find me easy to talk to in either English or Spanish.

I love the people of Nicaragua. They are hard-working, honest, and friendly. They have so little and yet find so much for which to be grateful. Those who visit this people and we who live among them can learn much of value. I invite you to experience the real Nicaragua and enjoy the simplicity of life you will find here. It will be one you will not soon forget.

Why you should come to Miramar

Surf world class waves off uncrowded beaches. With many of the spots you may not see any other surfers. This is the place in Nicaragua with a lot of secret spots. Trust me, you will need a guide. The waves are very tide and direction fickle but a good guide can always find the right type of waves for your skill and interest level.
